I'd moved about 20 times before 18. The rest were for a variety of reasons none involving crack.

My first move was because my parents let my childhood home get foreclosed on. Second move was to the other side of the state with some friends just for the shits of it. Third was because there were NO jobs anywhere near where we had moved. Fourth was moving in with a woman. Fifth was moving out.
No they were honest hard working white people. Started in a trailer park, fixed it up and moved. It was mostly moving to better nicer houses after fixing up houses and then separation and then moving further and further out to the boonies and then divorce and moving from shithole apartments to shithole apartments until I was 18.
