I think when you don’t dream it doesn’t mean you don’t dream it more means you don’t remember them. I believe I remember reading something about that years ago.

That's true. Alcohol and other mood altering substances decrease ones ability to remember their dreams.

That's the case. You usually remember a dream because you woke up while it was in process. If you don't dream it means you're probably not entering REM sleep, which can have other indications.

You dream every time you reach REM sleep. Hence, you dream every night.

Most people "don't dream" because they wake up and immediately focus on the tasks of the day--thus, they forget the dreams they did have. You will better recall your dreams if the first thing you do when you wake up is think about what your dreams were.

After having vivid dreams all my life I went through 2-3 years of not dreaming in my mid teens. Then one day it just came back now I have multiple dreams every night. Looking back at it I did have a bit of insomnia during those years of not dreaming .
