recently learned about blender. I have searched the internet, alas, i don't know what exactly I am asking for so i get nothing.

I was wondering if there was something like Blender but for linux and free, kinda like GIMP is the alternative for Photoshop.

ah for pete sake, i didn't even think to look at that. I just ASSUMED it was a paid program

No worries. F/OSS is a weird place to get used to if you've spent most of your time on commercial software.
