I recently came across a tweet that read: dear friends older than 37, you don't have to put two spaces after the period anymore. That was the typewriter era, your free.

I'm not going to say exactly what age I am but I'm not older than 37 and I didn't learn to type on a typewriter, I learned on a computer. I was taught it's two spaces after a period and never thought anyone had any different teaching or that someone would think two spaces was just too much to bother with.

Since this is a new idea to me, that I will reject because I see no reason to change my ways and I feel it's the right way but personal bias aside, what do you guys all do when you type? Do you use one or two spaces after a period and what were you taught?

I use two spaces because I'm not a fucking animal.

Seriously though, I've never heard of such a thing and I'm younger than 37 and have never even touched a typewriter, let alone use one.
