I am starting to believe that alcohol is the only reason we have civilization. All those animal compulsions wound tight and repressed to function in society so we need an outlet that lets us vent in a somewhat acceptable manner. Oh hes just drunk haha... Oh she was raped... We cant really put a normal level of expectation on a drunk persons actions. There is still responsibility but to a differing degree.
