There is that but the name is already planted in your head. Advertisers have long known that irritating you is one way to get you to remember a product. I'm sure you can think of some ads that pissed you off and you said you'd never buy them but you still remember them. Ad companies spend a lot of money on psychologists and studies.

Yes, and I avoid them. So that advertising tactic doesn't work on everybody, but it works on enough that they do it.

I'm not even sure what the criteria of the "suspicious activity" tag is or if boobs has publicly said what they are. IMO, automated deletion/quarantining is a bad idea because of the possibility of brigading (imagine reddit/voat fags abusing that feature).

I'm just wondering why, if some parameters apply a flair, they couldn't be quarantined instead (unviewable) until they are reviewed. But I don't know enough to understand the brigading implications so maybe you're right.

We’ve been really busy cleaning poal from a surge of spammers since our traffic increased after we updated to v2.0.
The suspicious tag is automatically given to trolls (especially new accounts) who try to game the voting system, so people know who they are and can decide to ignore or play with them like does. 😄
