Did you just recent read the 4chan story about humans 3d printing themselves outside of the simulation? Anyways no not at all. Something so powerful it could create this universe is so beyond us that comparing a human to a germ does not even come close to comparing humans to a god.
I haven't been to 4chan in years but that sounds hilarious.
I'm not even necessarily suggesting that we, as homo-sapiens, would someday be equal to or greater than god(s). Maybe we're a piece or a bit within a larger universe that, through sentient life spawned within it's galaxies, is slowly becoming self-aware. To god(s), homo-sapiens may be the equivalent of a neuron within the brain.
It is nice to think about but is mostly just the existential cry of the self aware being wanting there to be meaning to all this. Most likely life happened spontaneously and all of this is meaningless
ehh...I'm not as convinced. I'm not saying there's some bearded, Abrahamic god or anything similar but I think it's a mistake to dismiss any notion of intelligent or deliberate design. I tend to think that religion exists at the edge of scientific understanding and there is an enormous amount that we simply don't know or understand.
