This might a bit of a standard view but I think people have been fed the same script on how to live a life and people don't see a way out anymore. We ostracize the one who travels the world or who lives a solitary life. We mock the passionate and the curious and put down any ideas that don't go with the norm. The norm is the system that takes away your will and agency and hands it over to false authorities. These traps can seen in the smallest of things like having to ask to use the washroom and your body in school, not being able to purchase items without 3rd party charge and having to only be able to choose a few options for basic needs. These are some of the methods used to hand will and control over to authority in the minds of the citizenry.
