> Repeating the same thing over and over without discussion is a tool of the propagandist. This is true, but the reason is because of what we are. The biggest epiphany I'd ever had was the day I realized we are basically cognitive animals and we are easily brainwashed. The repeated nature of propaganda isn't just the transmitters hitting our receivers that is the scary part, it's the neurosis in each of us to repeatedly "blurt out" what we believe which essentially re-broadcasts or is a form of "self referential virtue signal" to our psyche to sooth our sense of self. In other words, we can't help ourselves to become broadcasters of the propaganda or whatever information we hold in our brain. It's the root issue of our herd mentality problem. It is something we can overcome, but takes constant work. It is the thing mentioned in the bible called "eternal vigilance" which means to constantly check all information coming in. Being programmed is easy, but having the tolerance of being able to challenge what is in our programming is one of the most terrifying addictions of all time. If you read the protocols, dig into the mysticism literature, or read any prospect theory (study of human biases) you'll see this is the reoccurring theme in every aspect of all of it. We're all basically dopamine and affirmation hunting machines.
