I've run a couple of absolutely unsuccessful D&D 3.5 campaigns. I attribute the main problems mostly to whiny lefties having problems with in-game authority, but I'll try to field what I can. My advice is find any other system with fewer rules. I recently downloaded some old DragonQuest v2 books, but haven't read through them yet.
