Good to know. This may be a stupid question, but so .223 wylde will shoot both .223 and .556? That is what I thought but just double checking. For some reason it is always labeled as .223 wylde and not just wylde or .556 wylde. Also I have heard that if chambered to shoot .556 then putting .223 through it is no problem, but not the other way around. Is that so? And if that is the case, then what would be the difference between .223 wylde and .555 NATO? Sorry for all the questions. I really do sppreciate the help.
I can't explain it better than this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.223_Wylde_chamber
I guess I'm kinda a dickhead for not just starting there. Lol. But thank you. Appreciate it.
Lots of information online about ARs but you got a solid summary here. Your configuration ultimately depends on your projected use. A basic personal defence weapon doesn't have to be complex or expensive.
