So there should be millions of examples in the fossil record then.... but there isnt one.

Why would there be millions of examples exactly? The changes happen gradually. And the fossile record isnt anything close to thorough.

So the gaps in the fossil dont bother you? How about the Cambrian Explosion where all animal life suddenly appeared with no speciation and no prolonged evolution time?

Why would I care that an imperfect system has gaps? Maybe the single celled organisms didn't evolve bones for a very long time.
