Life came from an asteroid. Earth was sterile from its previous burning state.
Where did the asteroid originate?
From space. Maybe sent on earth on purpose.
I tend to believe we are living in a giant simulation.
What if we are just the survivors of a previous advanced civilitation relearning everything

I was asking more along the lines of how did the life get on the asteroid.
This is just ignoring or dodging the origin of life question.
It's not. It's one of the multiple theories.
I realize that panspermia is a theory, but it's just a way to side step the origination question of how that life originated.
