I don't doubt that as I may be in error. I haven't even heard about though until recently as a contender.

It was one of the kike's (MPAA) most hated tools. It made DVD ripping so easy.

Cool. I used the other rippers on windows, but when changing files I never used anything but ffmpeg because all the visual ones (if I recall) use that as a backend. I often had trouble with the visual ones and I can't remember now what the problem was.
