It's true. That's not even that crazy of a case that comes into the ER my wife works at. Normal weekend walk-ins are the standard "voices in my head won't shut-up", "the fever came back after we gave the baby Tylenol", dump and runs (gang shooting), and whatever comes in from the jail/ICE/prison. Some of her best stories involve Saudis busting out MediCal/MediCare cards and black credit cards for payment along with the gypsies coming in with the man and all the other wives and kids (also with MediCal cards) and complaints about having to pay as they pull out the wad of cash.
Well that's a hell of a red pill
She used to believe the government could provide healthcare for everybody. Then she started working there and now realizes that's impossible because of all the fraud she sees and can't do anything about.
Like I said a hell of a red pill. I’m not sure a better one exists.
