I haven't had to have a pair of steel toed boots in a long time and the ones that I had then were just to get me by(generic walmart crap more than likely). I'm needing to get a decent pair that will last me awhile but won't break the bank(<$250 preferred).

I'm looking for:

  • -Water proof
  • -Slip resistent
  • -Safety toe (Is composite good?)
  • -Oil resistant
  • -Prefer 8" height
  • -Flexible(kneeling to standing)

There's a good amount brands, types and opinions out there but what's your guys experience with? Seems like Redwing is about the go to for mid-high range boots.

Depending on what you doing, make sure the sole can handle voltage, and have a steel shank I think it's called.
