Nope damned if you do, damned if you don't I can expand on this a little, if we do nothing and everyone gets infected we get some herd immunity faster, if we intervene to stop the spread it creates more viral generations and you get greater risk that way.
If China didn't keep out WHO/CDC from their medical labs, and data, just maybe the world would be in a better situation than it is now.
My big question now is:
What is the best way to punish China?
Make them drop the world's debt? Make them change their government so the people can elect a new leader in a few months?
That's true. We would have a better understanding of incubation time and contagious time, and symptom rate.
And the CDC would have been able to resolve that information with time to get it to us before it hit the US, and so we would better know how to handle it as citizens.
The only way China would have not wanted the CDC in is if they wanted us to be blind when it hit us because they were hoping it would spread easily here because of our lack of information in the crucial beginning. This is a weapon. China unleashed it on themselves for plausible deniability.
Exactly.
I don't know. Maybe better?
I don't think the answer to that is clear.
What would you do?
Damage their economy as mentioned above by making them forgive the world's debt that is owed to them. Another idea I have is to make them change their government to one that is similar to the US, with them having a period file to run for the presidency, give them 3 months to run, and have debates, and then have an election; the current president isn't allowed to run.
Another thing that we in the United States can do is make it easier for companies to make medicines in the US, the same with manufacturing so that we will become less dependent on China.
