You aren't subscribed to anything. If you subscribe to something or own a sub that will be your home page. But you are right that it is off putting especially for new users
I'm not an expert, but I question that UX decision. I don't subscribe to anything at all, because I prefer to view the site organically and see all content equally. The inability to do so without multiple steps is definitely offputting to a new user who would be otherwise confused and think Poal has no content.
Not just that, but it's confusing to have to use a different URL than the base URL to access content. I don't expect Poal to change it's design to accommodate MY preferences, but it's definitely going to be harder to use a system that is purely opt-in when I've been somewhat programmed by other aggregators to "opt-out" instead.
you must have created your account before we set defaults. Accounts created before that don't have any default subscriptions.
Is there a way to determine my user account #? I don't immediately see it, or a similar duration of months like the competition using similar code base.
Also, what would you recommend I do to get myself on the current new-user experience without manually adding a bunch of subs? Or can I even do so?

I'll definitely take the ideas under advisement. I always like input from everyone on how we should do things around here.
Just my two cents, but I constantly hit the blue polar bear because I've done the same for other aggregators for years to get to the "front page". My experience on Poal is that the front page is blank an I have to manually hit All or New on the top."Modmulti" doesn't even resolve a page for me.
Just hit new. Poal definitely need to fix that if it expects growth.
I configured redirect to point poal.co to https://poal.co/all/new - but that isn't an ideal solution. Thanks, either way.
