I can tell you that I did a bit of fact checking of those lists and they are bullshit. I'm sure it's a real problem, but selecting a bunch of people at random to make a meme isn't helping anything.
It really only took checking in on a few to realize there was no information out there that would help and some of them were verifyably wrong. If I could see some were wrong, and others were hard to track down, how did someone making a meme manage to get correct information for 535 people? The answer is they didn't.
