After the shooting happened, rather than calling for changes that could help prevent or lessen future tragedies, or at the very least saying his thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families and/or that he hopes the shooter rots in Hell, he's tweeting about the media for the bajillionth time. I think that a national tragedy takes precedence over media coverage, regardless of how unfair said media coverage is.

Define national tragedy. Define terrorist attack. List all Presidential priorities in the order you personally need them completed. What exact number of people dead merits Presidential attention? Where were you last weekend when more were murdered by gang violence , which the President has ?

Did you ever think that the perpetrators just want the attention? That Presidential validation of their act would be a victory?

"Calling for changes" - this presupposes something is wrong that the President personally needs to fix. Is the investigation complete? Do you know something the authorities do not? Maybe there is something systemic, or maybe it just seems that way and any (((solution))) will be antithetical to our rights and values, pushed on an agenda devoid of fact and poisoned with emotion. Road to hell and all that...

You know what's a national tragedy? Decline of Western Civilization. Rapid erosion of foundational rights and responsibilities. Browning of the citizenry. The emasculation of the male. The quantity of uninformed, irrational, unsound, feel-good dreck that passes for our public discourse, like your original post.
