Ok, I am not 100% certain about anything, but I'm pretty confident on this one. I can't find the links at the moment because I'm on mobile, but if you're interested I'll try when I get home.

In 2015/2016 five arab businessmen got sick in Denmark with a Coronavirus. Samples were sent to a level 4 virology lab in Canada for study.

In July of 2019 two Chinese nationals were expelled from this Canadian virology lab for leaking secrets and possibly biological material back to China. They both went back to China, specifically to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, also a level 4 bio-lab. They were both experts on SARS and HIV.

I truly do believe that this has been genetically modified l, but I don't think it was a biological weapon. I think carelessness allowed it to escape.

But I do believe that it has been genetically modified, specifically because of the HIV like spike protein it possesses.

Again, I am not a biologist, or a doctor.

But I'm pretty certain this isn't just a retarded conspiracy theory.

So, the real aim was to invoke a eugenics process that solved protecting the Asian genetics from certain biological occurrences.

This medium was decided upon because of the issues in HK, it seems.

It's a piece of work from a lab, some prototype, a possible basis for a bioweapon they probably suspected would eventually be used against them at one point so they worked on that to figure possible counter measures, and shit happened, stuff got out. How? Who really cares, it's there now

Lethality isn't that high, while it could have been much higher in the case of a true bioweapon, so yeah, that's mostly why I believe you're right. Also, vast majority of coronaviruses known since the 60s are rather harmless, and this one is a champ for some odd reason... So yeah that's when the engineered part seems likely, it's not just randomness imo
