I am a Registered Nurse I have not personally witnessed it but have had to sit through presentations from representatives of these companies. One thing I was told is that as a nurse we can “talk” to family members of terminally ill patients about organ donation and encourage it. These people want to be on scene before the patient dies. It is the nurses responsibility to call the company to alert them that this patient’s life support will be removed or that the patient will pass soon. they want doctors and nurses to pressure family into organ donation, to me that means you are also pressuring families to say goodbye. They are vulchers.
