I have severe arthritis in my hands and shoulders. I was prescribed medical marijuana for pain management. it worked incredibly well for a year. as an independent contractor I had no problems. recently, I got an offer for an excellent job that pays very well. I explained the situation to my employer. for insurance reasons we held off on starting work until I was able to pass a drug test. I have abstained from my prescribed drug and have just muscled through the pain for a month an a half, yet I still cannot pass a drug test. this is madness. I know I will eventually pass, but this means that I can no longer use a medicine that has improved my quality of life. I guess i'll just go in and get a prescription for oxycontin. i'm sure that will make everything better.

Maybe try a chiropractor? They can be hit and miss but there are some good ones.

I don't have health insurance, and I cant go to work. so any other form of medical care is pretty much out of the question. my situation is that of millions of other americans. i'm not entitled to anything, its just shitty that medical care is so expensive.

Now that problem is an interesting one to research.

Good place to dip your toe in on the issue.

Do you actively need medical care or just think that you will?
