This is an outstanding idea. Thank you for that. Yeah, I got almost zero help from my family. Maybe a couple hundred bucks when I absolutely had no other choice. They did literally nothing to set me up for adulthood. Fortunately I had the internet to at least learn from. I know it's a fine line between supporting our kids and coddling them, but I have some time to really think about things and plan them out. I like the idea of charging them a low rent or mortgage, but saving it up for them. It's a mix between support and forcing them to be responsible.
