I guess but it seems a waste of time if you ask me. Why would you want to split the discussion?

[–] 1 pt

asked me if it had any purpose other than messing with Poal.

I asked him if messing with Poal is covered under Free Speech.

Is it?

[–] 4 pts

Define messing with? Duplicate posts would have to be considered spam at some point.

I wanted to say something twice.

You know when they sing in songs, they often repeat the "hook" for dramatic effect?

I was going for that.

It depends on your attitude about a platform for free speech: Do you want to contribute or disrupt?

[–] 1 pt

Both

Look at this man, by his own admission he wants to disrupt poal. While I'm not an expert, this has all the signs of a demonic possession. And if I'm correct, we'll need an exorcist.

You're the expert on strange, what's your take on that?

[–] 3 pts

Kill it with fire!!!!

What if it was so nice I had to say it twice?

What if it was so nice I had to say it twice, too?

IMHO, multiple, identical, intentional posts in the same sub would count as Spam and ONE of the posts would/should be subject to down voting and/or deletion by a mod

[–] 1 pt

If you intentionally post duplicates consecutively in the same subs you'll be treated as spam.

But I never spam.

[–] 1 pt

No one said you did.

I'll try harder.

This gives way to an idea for an interesting feature. Merge posts.

So, a double post would be merged and the comments and post would be shown in both subs. It would give more traction in a way.

Let's say you have a news article about atari. So, you could post it in both but it would really be one post with an instance in both subverses "news" and "atari."

What if I intentionally duplicated the posts?
