Cop called me on the phone when I was 18 or 19. Wanted me to drive for 6 hours to pick up a lost wallet (tried using pressure tactics to as well if I didn't pick it up). I figure it would of taken 7-8 hours alone in total plus other time to eat, use restrooms, find the station, and/or etc.

I told him I couldn't make the drive right now and/or drive that far it would be a few weeks at least if I was going to do that drive. It would of screwed me alone completely. The drive is 3 hours one way roughly or 6 hours in total. That's with traffic and such which makes it a pain plus not knowing the way exactly. I didn't have the money to do the drive myself since I was 18 or 19. I remember it would of screwed me until next paycheck and I could of hit a $32 overdraft fee ($10 more than the $22 to replace everything and that's not including any driving and/or etc to as well).

wallet is worth $5 - cheap wallet - needed a new wallet.

get a new ID is $17

rest is free just have to call and get 2 new cards (I was 18 or 19).

$27 to just replace everything.

6 hours of driving - gas and such. $50 in gas alone plus eating to as well.

7-8 hours in total - time is money.

$50 + $20 (food & couple drinks - maybe two bottles) = $70

7-8 hours at $10 an hour to as well. Easily add that up to $150 as well for $22 worth of stuff. Plus car type stuff to as well. Overdraft fee plus an oil change sooner as well as other stuff.

new ID + wallet - $30-$35 easily. $17 and $15.

They can't just send it to your address.

What’s the reason?

Back then they couldn't do that (10-15 years ago) and he just kept saying I'm going to need you to come get your lost wallet.

He wasn't moving in any way of conversation alone. Wasn't budging in speech at all. Just kept saying to come get your lost wallet.

Definitely had an ulterior motive. Good thing to ignore and walk away.

Maybe he slipped a little baggy of weed in it, getting a hard-on for when he could impound the car and cuff the OP.
