french onion
Communist.
AMERICAN onion is best.
yes, especially poalcat's lazy french-american onion with croutons and parm cheese from the shaker.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!! Never ever ever sawdust from a can for Parmesan!
I’ve had it, but have never made it. Although I love cheese, I don’t really care for all the cheese on the top. I suppose I could make it and leave that part off.
it's one of those soups that grossed me out as a youngin'. but i do love onions, so i eventually gave it a try & now it's a fave. i rarely finish the cheese if i get it at a restaurant - it's essentially croutons or toast soaked in beef broth with sauteed onions & cheese blob dressing that i scoop off.
Turtle
Ok, not making that lol. What does it come close to in comparison? Anything? Now I must search for recipes out of curiosity. Where does one even get turtle if not from the wild? Are they like mushrooms? Got know which ones to find and which ones to avoid? So many questions! Unless you’re just being sarcastic. I can never tell.

Edit: I guarantee
How did I know you would post with this guy.
Seven different kinds of meat in a turtle. Who knew? It does look kinda tasty.
Used to be new england clam chowder but now I'm thinking I am leaning towards ham and black eyed pea soup.
Chefdong chinese.
he play joek
he put pee pee in your pea soup!
its a new years tradition to eat black eyed pea soup!
It is good to be proud of your Afro-American heritage!
Besides, Manhattan clam chowder is better anyway.
Them be fighting words where I come from.
Let us fite!
West Side Story style!
*starts snapping finger rhythmically... with syncopation!
San Fran Clam Chowder is where its at for that little something extra
That sounds horribly tempting.
My stomach churns with desire!
Mushroom soup 🙂
Mmmmmm. I make a very good cream of mushroom soup.
Not boasting or anything, but I haven’t found a place that makes it as tasty as I do. Wife can confirm. 😎
That’s a problem for us competent in the kitchen. So many things we love to eat and have learned to replicate in our kitchen better than any restaurant. It at least makes me try new things on the rare occasion I do eat out. I’ve never made duck, but it’s on my to do list.
Wait you can make that? I thought it was just something that came in a can from the store.
I have verified the correctness of your assumption.
You’d never eat the stuff in a can again once you make your own.
Chicken soup with the chicken in it, chink style. Spicy dipping sauce on the side for the meat.
Popcorn Sutton bean and ass blend cooked on ceramic in cast iron.
Beans and Ham.
Had some simmering all day today, just ate dinner. Going to freeze some for later.
Ended up deciding on roasted garlic, parsnip, and white bean soup.
That sounds good. I think I'll toss some roasted garlic in next time I make mine.
Chef Dong's Chicken Soup!!!! Taste meoww!!!!
Soup is only like half a food
Depends on what kind of soup. Many soups have all the ingredients of a meal in there!
Chili is good, now that I think about it.
I make some pretty awesome chili.
