Perhaps you could use a trip to a place you wished to see long ago. But to rough it a bit might add some adventure to your travels. I've hiked in the US, Mexico, Western Europe and a week in North Africa. I stayed in tents or vehicles every time, and there is something refreshing in getting out of boxy buildings.
