Well, I don't think one as to be pro or anti collapse, since it's obviously what's going to happen anyway
So, from that point, "embrace" collapse/accept it. Just as you have to accept death
Now that's not because one day you'll die that it's a reason to jump out the window like right now
What's an anarchist? What's anarchy? Beyond all the fancy literature around it?
Anarchy, is the natural state of things, in the absence of rule of law, ante or post civilizational collapse for instance
That's what it is
What's an anarchist? Someone who embraces that state of things instead of refusing it, someone who composes with it instead of resisting it, that's what a true anarchist is to me
Now, people of the book, aren't really anarchists, while they certainly are equiped to face anarchy....
The Law
They apply it to themselves first and foremost, everyone is his own cop basically
Historically that's how it started and went, and they more often than not, were surrounded by people ignoring the book entirely
I sure like voat and poal. I enjoy these well thought out conversations. I wish I could contribute to this one more but somebody told me to embrace the way things are. So back to the grinding wheel.
What if things DONT collapse, though? I can't think of a more dreadful scenario than the world just getting worse in different ways, forever. With the same type of psychopaths in control. The world just getting more broken, and that brokenness breaking more people. Predators reproducing through predation till there are no more people having good conversations on voat. You know things can get worse. My biggest fear is humanity is reduced to buttfucking each other in the street. We don't know how the universe works. And THEN God shows up and punishes everybody for fucking the place up. Maybe gods REAL chosen people are elephants. And we're just the mice scaring them.
maybe "things" won't collapse, maybe it's going to degenerate to infinity
What's degeneracy?
Behaviors/way of life going against the best interests of the individual, and the group. Unhealthy and unwise ways
The path to self destruction in a nutshell,
We're mortals to begin with, so one could say it's in the nature of the hardware to slide into degenerate ways overtime
There's a lot to say about it but I'll stop there
...
"On a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero"
Stars included
At some point all stars die, there's no more light in the entire universe. What happens next.... Idk
What's for sure is that this rule applies to everything known to us, "a bottleneck to rule them all"
So, in a way, judgement day, is unavoidable, just like death. I could add "Trees don't grow to the sky"
And it's only a problem if you have a problem with that
If you have a problem with that, then you could start asking yourself why, or rather, what could possibly negate/nullify this "problem" you have, for your own sake, peace of mind
...
Benevolence isn't something we teach in school, it's not part of our core values, as a society
No wonder degeneracy, hatered and evil in general are widespread
you nailed it, but forgot one factor. its pretty obvious the degeneracy is being aided by those who entertain us.
