Man I'm not sure I can even keep in character anymore. I point things out and people show their insanity just the other day I pointed out the fact that men and women clearly get different treatment in the work place and my boss agreed with me, then take it to the well "Corporate wants diversity" argument and he'll agree with the one argument while contradicting himself in the same damn statement. Its insanity.
Well, if you have a problem with it you've broken character. Try something like:
"I wish somebody would give Janet the opportunity to manage X (something really important)."
or
"It's not really fair that Pedro isn't given the chance to be on customer service, don't you think?"
The people you are dealing are getting paid to believe corporate mysticism and just herd themselves forward without disturbing their dopamine too much, so you'll never get through without getting out of the way and allowing crisis to be presented. Crisis is the point where the lie is no longer manageable in their mind. This is documented in "The Theory of Scientific Revolutions" by Thomas S. Khun (and quoted in the 7 Habits by Stephen R. Covey). There is also the concept of the "rider and elephant" by Johnathan Haidt in "The Righteous Mind."
What you touch on with being brainwashed is totally real. When you delve deep into it, it's really terrifying actually. People often aren't even aware, . Without cognitive agitation toward yourself, you'll also be victim to it.
Anyway, this is how I celebrate white pride day.
