You can do this as well with a soft-reboot by short circuiting their moral NPC software.

No. I listen to them ... to the point of exhaustion. All the while I exude moral virtues to them by presenting the competing moral stances they provide to me to them at once.

It's the logical/moral equivalent of a short circuit but has to be done in layers.
A roofie would be more like a hardware shutdown/reboot switch. It may keep them quiet for a bit, but it won't red-pill them. Better to just send their own programming to a race condition state to allow them to fix their own software bugs. Of course, it helps if you have new code ready.
