They dont bother me, not even rattlers

I'm not "scared" of them per say, but I do fear many of them at least and kind of do get freaked out or scared a bit (some fear or being scared somewhat I always figured was a great thing).

cognitive ability

some fear or being scared I figure helps me to stay situationally aware and within the realm of spatial reasoning and how to move in a physical environment to get away from any snake. Help me to perceive said environment in a situation where I did encounter something like a dangerous snake. Figure at least being aware or sentient to a situation to as well.

I'm too tired to put this into better words, but for now. kind of scrambled my sentences a bit and just kind of wrote it out without really thinking about it and how it works together.

I had a snake sitting on the deck steps and it was on the 2nd or 3rd step up on the left side which I was about to walk past. I was distracted paying attention to the mower and such and I looked up a bit to see the snake right on the left side of the deck step which would of been a foot or so next to me had I walked past trying to get as close to the deck itself while mowing.

The snake then jumped at me latching onto my chest. I quickly pulled out my .50 cal sniper rifle or both of them or my arms I should say. I had to fight the snake and it kept trying to take me down. Eventually it did take me down and I knew it was too late at that point. It started dragging me into the back swamp. It was fine though as I really had nothing else to do that day.

It was a helpless gardener and it did kind of get me (.5-1 second) since I was about 3 feet or so away and I would of passed it by about a foot since it was on the left side of the deck steps. I just kept mowing and walked right past it and didn't worry that much about it other than glancing at it to make sure it wasn't going to bite me or anything. I would of been fine though and it didn't really phase me.
