It's hard to get her to howl.
So far, only EXTREMELY ANNOYING squeak toys can do it. Not just regular squeak toys, mind you... they have to be SUPER OBNOXIOUS!
if i leave mine tied up to a tree a little after dark he start howling and crying to come inside
I'm pretty sure if I tried that with ol Jozer here, she'd just sit there and look pitiful.
Pretty sure that was just her normal life before we got her. Anything that is not backyard or comfy bed is SUPER SCARY to her. It's hard to get her to walk more than one block. Thankfully, we have our big huge graveyard to run around in [actually it's pretty dinky by graveyard standards... but she can only run so much] and she gallops around gleefully, provided nobody else is there.
i am hoping to move deeper into the woods next year maybe and then can let him play unchained or off leash a lot more
