Aye, I'd rather have a car that lasts forever even though that's not a thing.
That's why I've switched to Mercedes Benz. At least they last longer than the crappy Dodge/Fiat bullshit I had been buying. My cheapass hyundai lasted pretty well, but fell to complete useless bits of junk all of a sudden, as they do. Similar stories apply to most of the jap cars I've owned also [except for the MR2 spyder I had to get rid of after the dotcom bubble burst and burst my bubble with it].
Lol, my wife has a toyota. I'm driving an 86 dodge truck as needed and a 2008 rx8 turboed. I need some better damn sense. My shit stays broke down. If not one it's the other. A mazda is just a Ford as of 2009
I somehow managed to destroy my Mazda Miata's transaxle; they said it broke in half!
Some goober still bought it for $2000 - so... WINNING!
SUPER true! Especially diesel ones, but still pretty much all of them before the late 80s made them all dumb and faggy for awhile. With exceptions, of course.
