Haha, that's funny. I was just yesterday thinking about how awesome it was as a little kid when the folks got a new car.
Now I get a new car and, meh... car. I mean it's nice and all, and I apparently liked it enough to buy it. But it's not mystical and amazing like when I was a little kid. I guess partly because I now regard it as just another damned expense that I tolerate for some reason on top of a thing that I use and like. Or something. Idunno, it all makes more sense when I'm drinking...

That's why I've switched to Mercedes Benz. At least they last longer than the crappy Dodge/Fiat bullshit I had been buying. My cheapass hyundai lasted pretty well, but fell to complete useless bits of junk all of a sudden, as they do. Similar stories apply to most of the jap cars I've owned also [except for the MR2 spyder I had to get rid of after the dotcom bubble burst and burst my bubble with it].

Yea, 4 years ago I built my PC with plans of having 100+ GB of RAM. Now, it's good enough. I might need to replace the hard drive soon. I don't really want to do any computer stuff as there's too much uncertainty in my immediate future to want to do that.
I just tossed a cache of old PC games I had that I couldn't keep working on Windows. It sucked, but it was taking up space I need for other stuff. Effectively, I've started the purge of stuff in my home.
