I’m not sure I understand the premise of the question exactly, but my answer would be yes there is a problem with it, for one its not honorable, for two we shouldn’t encourage the constant use of debt to buy things it enslaves people. I’ve spent most of my adult life avoiding debt. I’ve made 2 exceptions 1 was for a car I was talked into buying and I openly admit that was a huge mistake. 2 is to buy a home and I’m not happy about the debt and interest that brings. Even if you have no intention of paying it off, it will encourage others to do the same with the intention to pay it off or worse just pay on it for the rest of their lives and leave it for the next generation to deal with.
Credit card debt in most states has an expiration where they can legally expect their money back. Rack up 100k or more in debt, sell the shit for 50k cash and wait seven years, rinse repeat. Fuck honor in a system designed to enslave you. Personal honor is not beholden to a system designed to enslave you.
Yeah but the system only works as long as everyone continues to engage it. Don't Engage
That is the insidious nature of this present system. Unless you are independently wealthy with land you have little choice but being a wage/debt slave to some extent. I am leaning towards still being an honorable person to friends and family but fuck this system that is seeking to replace me and mine. Not engaging means they win.
If you can take it, get it
The biggest thing wrong with it is your children / heirs will be hounded and hounded to pay off your debt. So if you can educate them and set it up where they are not liable, then go for it!
Your children are not bound by your debts your estate is
I've read many stories about debt collectors calling on the day of or soon after the funeral insisting your kids/etc need to settle up!
