I can understand disliking France as a function of recent history, but the Franks kicked ass for centuries. The British Isles were a melting pot of Picts, Gales, Welsh, Britons, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Norse and Romans. As for the royalty, don't forget the Norman conquest. The Normans were of Franco-Nordic stock.
