I wouldn't fault anyone for it -- even someone who's aware of things. It may not be particularly moral but it's a good gig. Pays well, free education, if you stick with it for 20 years you're set for life and can even start a new gravy boat career while you're still relatively young and early retired (or not). And all you have to do is police some muzzies for Israel for the portion of time you're deployed? Probably significantly less BS if you're an officer too.
