You have to learn to say "no" or avoid being around said people I figure myself. Learning to say "no" is huge or key to me personally. I have a cold as fuck side to myself at times (that I developed over the years). Just say "no" and/or be cold about it. Don't even care you aren't me and that's not what I want to do myself. Don't even waste your time at that point. Almost like some type of enforcer mindset that I just say "no" completely without any care for the most part if any at all. It's how I stayed off street drugs to as well growing up myself and I'm getting very anti-drug at times except for caffeine and nicotine (somewhat on these to as well - I'm not perfect). I only did weed myself and even then I haven't done weed in years. Stayed away from the cocaine, meth, heroine, and/or all that crap alone at least. Just say "no" and/or develop an enforcer mindset so no one can try to get me to do drugs alone for the most part.
I used to spend time writing it out and such to as well to help my mind become more resistant to it as well to knock the fuck out of heavy street drugs in my mind for the most part so I'd never want to do them myself. Glad i stayed out of the medicine cabinet to as well and have never done opiates which are wrecking havoc on america right now or have been the past few years alone at least since 2012-2013 time frame or so when I started to notice that kind of stuff myself.
You really just have to learn to develop a way to say "no" if not just say "no" and learn a bit from hard "no"s since you had no time to prepare to say "no" for the most part. Drugs aren't healthy at all in the long run and alcohol even though it's legal has to be done in moderation to me personally.
After Boogaard's death (especially) in 2011 from opiates it opened my eyes / changed my world completely to the world of drugs. Even alcohol you can't go on forever with.

drinking is a major cause of death to as well in the u.s. alone. It doesn't matter if they are legal / illegal to me at times. Since alcohol can be way more damaging (cause more deaths) alone even though it's legal.

I find stuff to do myself personally. I've drank 2x this month so far or so. I'm trying to get my rotations to be every two weeks if not once a month at most (if not longer). I'm kind of bored of drinking and/or tired of it myself personally though.
