It's silly to generalize 'x have it easy' or 'y have it easy', where there is so much individual variance. Clearly some people have it hard, because (you have to assume) we are all trying our best and some still can't cut it.
edit: either gender. Women attempt more suicide and men complete more suicide... but can we really say definitively one gender has it worse?
