I was thinking of regaling (some of) you fine people with a few memorable anecdotes.

You know, stories about South Africa. Like the one about the day I thought I was going to be raped and killed by 5 niggers and a stranger saved my life, or the one about the day our farm labourers killed one of their own for casting spells on them, that sort of thing.

But it would be easier for me to record myself telling the story.

So if I do that, and record myself on a phone, is there a way of posting the audio file?

I know there is high demand out there for stories about SA narrated in the more well-spoken posh South African accent.

I’d love to listen, we could sit down and record it some time on the mumble server if you wanted and I could post it too gvid

Just let me know what time works for you.

Sounds like a plan but time difference is going to be tricky. Can you tell me what time zone you are in please?

I'm in the eastern time zone US, but I can do what ever I have to do to make it work for you.

The way I understand it, only people who tune in at the time can listen once? I was thinking of some kind of repository where the stories sit and people can listen to them any time forever and ever. Like a sub specifically for stories in audio format where others can add stories and people can listen any time.

You might consider an automatic speech to text converter. Personally, I'm far more inclined to read text than listen, as I can read much faster than I can listen. It would be a service to your audience.
