Am I right in thinking that all blocking does is stop a user messaging you?

I would like not to have to trawl through low effort, low quality posts (by the same users) to find quality posts.

I don't want to block entire subs, just the drivel posted by losers and addicts who don't work and therefore spend all day contributing nothing.

On VOAT, the block function collapses messages posted by blocked users, which is great, as you don't have to waste time reading their inane "contributions". Any chance of a similar function here?

Or am I missing something? (Which is of course entirely possible).

and I have already discussed about how that feature should evolve.

Its next update will be to hide posts from blocked users.

As for the comments, we've got two ideas (we're gonna submit a poll and let users decide which one they would like to see on poal)

In the meantime you can use the follow feature.

I wasn't talking about you my dear lord. But I'm a busy person with limited time to dip in and out in-between working and everything else. Sifting out crap takes time I don't have. Unless......I employed you as a crap sifter? Although I can't see a Lord lowering himself to carry out such a menial tasks.

I have asked about user post blocking in the past and it is not likely to happen, any time soon at least.

I have been slowly working on a chrome extension / greasemonkey script that has a feature that could help with this, but its far from complete. Currently the extensions has an abysmal front-end and the user script has a few issues.

Firefox for android has extension support and can run greasemonkey fairly well. Though I would have to alter the script. Messy solution for sure.
