Why? I love it, although it's not my favourite language. In fact, it's number 3 on my list.

Because it is littered with words like desert (and this is a double as you can use it 2 unique ways) and dessert.

I'm guessing you don't speak any other languages. German is much more difficult than English, so is Dutch, although Dutch is far easier than German, but Afrikaans is by far the easiest of them all.
