Any idea which painting it is ?.

Didnt he usually paint three of four of each picture for each episode ?.

A practice one before recording - to flesh out the image and colors and timing based around the episode length. Then the actual picture painted during the recording of the show and after recording he would paint a final 'all in' copy.

Yea, i know it's the 'of the first painting' on tv.

But which actual copy of the picture is it, the article says 'The painting was created in 1983 for the first-ever episode of Ross' show.' Look at how sneaky they worded it - what they said can also be taken to mean 'one of the other paintings also made for the first tv show'. They never actually categorically clarify that it is the on-air painting in the entire article. Small detail.

If you watch the ytube link they provide of it being painted, at 27:07secs he does the signature. They are not the same two 'S' by watching his brush stroke (similar but not the same) as on the one being sold.

I therefore submit that this picture being sold is not the actual one painted during the recording, yes it is 'A picture of his first on-air painting' just not 'The picture of his first on-air painting'.

So i wonder which of the other ones it is ?. (The practice or the all in). I think the all in.

Bob's son was robbed of his inheritance when the Ross estate was stole by his business partners. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/aug/31/bob-ross-documentary-netflix-joshua-rofe

I remember hearing about that. His father fucked up big time.

Still, so the kid didn't get a lottery ticket of an inheritance. Most people don't and make it just fine on their own.
