Biggest rifle I ever fired was an under hammer percussion cap .69 caliber. It wasn't bad though. It was a serious competition rifle with like a fifty pound steel barrel maybe four to six inches around and five foot long. It was strictly a bench rifle and way too heavy to kick much.
