I just got a flier via Email from AIM Surplus! They just received a new shipment of Mosin Nagant rifles and are offering me incredible deals! Truly incredible!

TULA RUSSIAN 1891/30 7.62X54R MOSIN NAGANT RIFLES W/ BAYONET ONLY $339.95

TULA HEX RUSSIAN 1891/30 7.62X54R MOSIN NAGANT RIFLES W/ BAYONET ONLY $359.95

Are they kidding me! I may be old, but I ain't that old - LOL. So I'm going to send ya nearly four hundred bucks with shipping and handling, maybe an upgrade from good to better, etc, for a rifle that the Russians and every soviet block nation made from pre-1917 through at least the sixties. Maybe four hundred and sixty million of these things are floating around ... there may even be closer to a billion of them out there! And you want me to send you 400 bucks for the leftover pickings of God knows how many import barges that have flooded us with these things for as long as I can remember.

Pay that kinda money for a Mosin Nagant and I will immediately lose all respect I have or had for you - LOL. The world is filled with idiots! Put a couple more bucks to it and but a well worn M1 Garand or Carbine if ya just gotta have a military surplus rifle. Hell, ya can still get a great Swedish Mauser for that money ... a way more valuable rifle in the end.

Wow, yeah I thought these went for 100 bucks. It's been awhile, but I can't imagine much has changed.

No. 300-400 for a mid tier mosin is the going rate now. The "collector piece" rifles are pushing a grand now

And nowhere near that in value. People are bending over and taking it with a smile.

That's crazy. It's a novelty really.

They were, and even that was way over priced. Now they've gone bananas. They'll never be worth anything near what they're asking nowadays due to the sheer numbers in circulation ... if you're gonna be a collector, collect, but make it something of value. LOL

400 dollars for a 100 year old rifle which may or may not have head space issues, cosmoline caked in the action, splitting furniture, next to no scope capability without a gunsmith, and a trigger you could hammer nails in with....or a brand new ruger American in 308.

Tough choice.

Really. I'm telling you, however people started to buy into paying this kinda money for those things is beyond me!
