95 yards is quite a distant. in my my prime days i could only shoot a couple arrows (just to save money) i think my max was 60 yards.

They have different divisions so everyone can have fun... the lowest has ranges of 15-40yds.

But yeah.. 95-100yds is quite impressive. I train at 60-75 and hunt at no more than 40-50. I'm not taking a shot unless I am confident that it will be clean.

yeah, i get it i was a fucking great archer, i think i could of 100 yards... idk... you need a strong bow for that. I was only target shooting with like 40lb draw.

but i was dead accurate, i miss it actually... its all about that release and calmness

I don't even have a range where I could practice 100yd shots so take this with a grain of salt, but...

I'm not sure this is really about draw weight so much as having practiced at those ranges and knowing where your hold points are for various ranges. When I pushed out from 40yds to 75yds it was really interesting to see that it was not about draw weight at all but about accurately estimating range and calculating drop. Obviously my group sizes opened up... from a 2 inch group at 40yds to a 8 inch group at 75yds... but this was still plenty good to get onto a 3D target... but ranging was critical... that was the difference between a miss and hit

..also, if you miss it I encourage you to get back into it. It gets you outside and gets you some exercise. It's healthy for the mind and the body. But more importantly, it lets you MEET THE RIGHT TYPE OF PEOPLE. There are difficult times ahead for us as a society and it is critical that we all build our networks and find our support base. When I get out to the 3D archery range or woods course (I'm very lucky to have a great one near by) I always meet the type of people who I want to associate with. Good luck on your journey.
