I'm going to be somewhat skeptical that rock art paintings would survive, in seemingly pristine condition, for >12k years in the tropics on an exposed rock face. Particularly when there are clear signs of water based erosion in some places.
To me, this looks much more likely to be the results of a recent creation, whether by fraudulent "archeologists" or opportunistic locals who saw archeologists get very excited about other finds (and the prospect of bringing in tourists). For instance, photo E in the underlying paper (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0278416524000448?via%3Dihub) shows a thick band of basically fully painted wall, with clearer images above, almost like a bunch of children were messing around at the bottom, while the adults were busy painting "ancient" figures on the wall.
