News: professional "journalists" are really professional liars. Scientists: do goal seeking, not science. "Teachers" are really indoctrinators harming our children. "Doctors" are really killers for the kleptocracy... and on and on. In this case, a shill archaeologist would discover something like this and would be paid to stay silent unless it bolsters the narrative. Too much archaeology is inconvenient because it conflicts with a long held narrative.
