This is how I was taught (mostly). I went to a small country school in the late 1980's through to 2000 when I graduated. All of my teachers were really really old (really old). I had three highschool teachers who had taught my dad, and he was 22 when I was born, so that's a fairly long time. One teacher had started at the end of 1959/1960. So her methods would have been tough to her by those retired teachers from the early 1900's. I loved it looking back because I had such a higher quality education and no brainwashing.
